Harvesting head lettuce

This week I was still battling a nasty cold but I dragged myself off the couch long enough to plant our second round of shallots in beds three and four.  The last ones (in bed 9) have sprouted and are growing great.  I also supplemented the flower pots out back with a few more Johnny jump ups.

As you can see from above, we also harvested the last of our winter head lettuce so we can plant the root veggies in bed number 6.  This made a great salad for dinner!
