| Planting and Irrigating Arbor Vitae |
After work today we finally had the time and energy to plant our replacement trees. Larry, Moe and Curly are back in place across the creek. These are our replacement arbor vitae. We think round one died because they didn't have enough time to get fully established before we had to back off on watering for the winter. They were planted fairly late last fall.

We also planted our replacement mission black fig. This one is replacing the brown Turkey fig that first got broken by the HUGE falling limb from the rotten poplar tree (which we later had to have removed). After surviving that, it got eaten by voles over the winter! Fingers crossed, this one will fare better.

Finally we straightened our leaning baby kadota white fig. We also sprayed several of the fruit trees out front with blasts of cold water from the hose to help get rid of the aphids. Then we sat across the creek by the maples and arbor vitae to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
