| Frozen ditch in the evening December 26 |
Winter is definitely here! Temps have been pretty low - especially at night. We've had lots of ice on the ditch and in the creek and little flurries of snow. Jim has been working hard on plans for a bear proof chicken coop. These are adaptations from a smaller version found on the internet. We just staked out the site and are hoping to get some feedback on our plans and get to work on this project. So far the plan is for a 6 x 10 foot coop with a 12 x 10 foot enclosed run, half of which will be covered for shade. We are still assessing the size and plans and trying to be patient.
