| Rainbow chard for dinner tonight! |
It is the calm before the storm! The weather is mild with low clouds and temps in the upper 60's. Big storms are forecast for the next four or five days with snow levels dropping to 6000 feet. We should be out of snow but hopefully will get some rain. I went out to check on one of the covered beds and harvested some chard for dinner. What a treat to be able to harvest in December!

| Garden bed number 2 looking good! |
The sugar snap pea starts in the garage are not doing so well. Only a couple look healthy. The chard starts are growing a bit better. The garlic still looks good in bed number 6 but no shallots have sprouted yet! This is definitely still a learning process.
We have drafted some plans for our (hopefully) bear proof chicken coop. These are adapted from some online and some in a book. We have the site cleared of rocks (with some help from friends) and leveled out. Time to re-stake out the coop and start shopping for supplies.
