MORE BEETS!

New beet starts
Today, we planted our beet starts.  I would have liked to have done this from seeds but I should have done it 4+ weeks ago when I began thinking about it (but had no time which is why I'm a month behind and trying to catch up on posts)!  Then I found rainbow mix beet sixpacks at the nursery and couldn't resist.  They are planted in bed number one which we will also need to convert to winter hardy.

We also had quite the fun harvest this evening!  Lots of chile peppers, our first spaghetti squash, lemon cucumbers, tomatoes and onions.
Have I mentioned how much we love chiles?

The pumpkins and spaghetti squash are doing so well right now!!

Even a simple burger dinner is much better when doctored up with home grown tomatoes and chile peppers and served with a side of fresh green beans!
