We pulled the walls of water off the tomatoes. We also uncovered the chile pepper bed and did some clean up. The peppers seem small and a bit feeble. They got a fairly rough start many getting frost nipped before they even got in the ground. I think we can start them this early again next year but should set them up under plastic right away. We also need to monitor the watering a little better. I think things some were getting over watered under the plastic and others were out of range of the bubblers and drying out. We planted marigolds around the tomatoes and peppers a few weeks ago and also a row of basil in the middle of both tomato beds and these desparately needed driplines. The ones to which we have added driplines are doing much better.
