Chuck and Marge came over today and helped us cage the tomatoes. He showed us what to trim and what to keep. He encouraged keeping them bushy since they will be in the cages and have lots of support. He said we could thin some of the lateral branches if we want but no need. He suggested feeding them with fish emulsion as well.

It has been raining on and off the past week and it’s been lovely! Cooler temps but lots of moisture. Today we got a good long steady rain as we have a few nights recently. We did a bunch of weeding this weekend and planned to finish changing over the irrigation in the veggie garden but discovered that I bought the wrong dripline when I was at Home Depot on Friday! I’ll have to order the right stuff online. The potatoes are starting to sprout tiny little leaves!
