NO doubt about it Nancy and Polly both have a
handful of red leaves…. Not sure if I hope it’s a sign of Fall or disease! Thinking about the watering situation. Still watering all by hand but should have
irrigation done in a week or so (I think).
Need to read up on how much to water.
The squash is looking so much better after mulching but it has also been
much cooler this week. The soil in those
beds was just so dry to start out. Also
thinking about feeding plants. It seems
we shouldn’t need to feed the veggies if the soil is good… I know the fruit
trees want feeding but hear we should wait till the spring (do nothing
immediately after planting is Stephen’s advice.
Hoping to plant the “babies” tonight. The beans and peas we started from seed are
ready. We might have enough of a growing
season left to produce those. Also time
to plant onions and I hear, maybe garlic, beets, greens brussel sprouts,
broccoli….. Hope to have some time to read up on that this weekend.
