This morning while watering the orchard, an owl flew
through the front yard between me and the house. It looked dark but felt like a barn owl…
probably a great horned. I heard one
calling for about 20 minutes two mornings ago while I was watering the veggie
garden. Very nice… bats and hummingbirds
are also quite busy this morning.
There is a bit of a chill in the air this morning. It is 65 out which is warm but there is an
undeniable Autumn feeling! The Nectarine
tree has a few red leaves… not sure if it’s shock from transplant or it’s truly
changing colors. The fig has a couple
that have gone yellow… that I am attributing to the shock of travel and
transplant.
