Planting Victoria Rhubarb
The sugar snap peas have sprouted! We found just three tiny green sprouts when we came home from work tonight! Very exciting and right on target as they were planted 9 days ago. We also planted the rhubarb start we bought in Carson City this week. Our existing two rhubarb plants are looking great this year so we might even be able to harvest and cook some for the first time this season! I think it is all Victoria rhubarb... I know the new one is.
Lots of rain and snow predicted for the next several days. We are hopeful that the weather won't get so cold we lose all hope of fruit from the orchard but even if we do, most of the trees are still so young we probably shouldn't let them fruit yet anyway. It sure is exciting watching things grow!
Finally, we are still reaping the benefits of our fall harvest. We had yummy spaghetti squash with our dinner last night!
