NEW TRELLISES FOR THE RASPBERRIES

Jim building trellises/cages for raspberries
We finally figured out what to do to support and protect our raspberries!  More of the cement 6.6.10 wire.  This is what the tomato cages are built with.  The folks at Home Lumber are so amazing!  They cut the wire into 4 foot lengths for me so all we had to do was bend, roll and connect it into hoops.  Voila!   We have beautiful cages for our raspberry bushes into which we can easily reach to weed, train and harvest as the season progresses.

Did I mention yet how great the rhubarb is looking as it makes a comeback?  I'd like to add another couple plants.

The daffodils are also growing beautifully in the big ceramic pots with the yew trees.  They get just enough sun  and warmth to be blooming happily and early!

Finally, today I started drafting a plan for this year's garden beds... this is just a first draft.  I still need to assess water needs and companion planting.  I also still need to find our latest list of what we want to plant because I feel like I'm missing some things.
