FEBRUARY CHORES

Spraying Lime Sulfur on Peach Tree
Today was the first day we were  home in daylight without snow since the workshop!  Our lime sulfur fungicide arrived so we sprayed the fruit trees.  It looks toxic but it is listed as organic.  It was good to get this done.

We also pruned the grapes and blueberries.  Lots of info on how to prune grapes when grown on trellises but not much for the way we are growing them.  So we just are doing a trial this year.

Finally, we transplanted one of the cherry trees.  I dug the hole a couple of weeks ago but hadn't managed to make time to dig the tree up and move it.  It was good to get this done, and it looks good in it's new home.  It also got a little more pruning.

Re-pruned and re-planted cherry tree
Happy new home by the creek
