SNOW IN PARADISE!!

Snowy garden overview
6 inches of snow on the deck and in the orchard!
It looks like a cold walk to the garden
CRAZY!  We got over 6 inches of snow today!  It was beautiful!  It just started sticking this morning around 6:30 or 7:00 AM.  It is so incredibly pretty.... after 27 years in Mammoth, who'd have thought we could get so excited over 6 inches of snow!   Pretty fun.  Not quite enough to go for a cross country ski but tempting!

Snow on the blueberries and rhubarb
Heavy wet snow had to be brushed off the bed covers!
We had to brush off the newly rebuilt covered beds as they were weighed down with this wet heavy snow so much we thought they might break.

Last year's leeks and the blackberry patch
Wheelbarrow garden
Garlic, shallots, onions and leeks
Tonight the winds are predicted to pick up with some powerful gusts expected.  Jim went out and stapled the plastic around the bottoms of the garden beds.  We're not sure if it will hold but hopeful it will.  The veggies are looking pretty good and the arugula, in particular, was very good.

House in snow!
Hummingbird seeking refuge!

Needless to say we did not spray the fruit trees today but we did take a bunch of photos!
Had to re-pair the weather station today.
Back deck early morning - before the snow really started dumping
Northern Red Oak in snow
Snow on side yard and Adirondack chairs.
Water birch over creek
No dining al fresco today
And it's still snowing!
