| Chuck with his babies! |
Jim went to visit Chuck today and was lucky enough to get to see the babies:!! 19 types of tomato pants are sprouted and should be ready for transplanting into the ground around April 1.... I can hardly wait!

Very strange. While taking a break after turning over half of the fifth bed this afternoon I thought I felt an earthquake. The blueberry bushes were trembling and Xena was wandering around looking confused. Sure enough, 4.8 earthquake just south of Bishop. It is so strange to feel them outside.

| Bed number 3 half turned over and PVC pipes relocated last night. |
 |
| 5 more beds half prepped for pvc pipes to be moved this afternoon |
The other exciting news for the day is the shallots have finally sprouted! We planted these in the fall and have eagerly been awaiting their arrival!
 |
| Look closely and you can see the shallot sprout! |
Still more work to do on the beds. Hopefully we can get these wrapped up tomorrow but with rain and snow in the forecast for tomorrow, I'll have to try to get out early and perhaps finish them over the weekend after work. Sure was nice to be working in the garden all afternoon in the sunny warm (70's) weather today.
It looks and feels a lot like spring!!
