A little evening gardening. It's still 85 degrees at 9 PM! Planted the new tomatoes we found down south. Also buried the potatoes another 4 inches or so (the first round since planting. Now the furrows are gone and the bed is level. We will need to go buy a bale of straw so we can keep mounding as they grow. We also thinned most of the squash down to one plant per site. A couple of the tomatoes don't look so hot. The sweet olive, the Arkansas traveler in particular. I think they are just a bit burned from that insecticidal soap spray. Mostly stuff looks good. We should feed everything again tomorrow with fish emulsion and spray Tuesday or Wednesday again with Neem oil. I think I saw a few white flies on the corn and just flying about today. I also need to start spreading diatomaceous earth around as the ants are multiplying. We should also spray again with the BT for the worm larva... Maybe next weekend on that one. It is getting hard to keep track of all of these treatments. They are all organic. Fingers crossed we will be back on track and not have any more bad set backs.
