BUGS, BUGS, BUGS
Phew! It is hot! 89 degrees at 8:15 PM! But the garden is loving it! I fed everything in the garden with fish emulsion again today. It was a little soon but all the tomatoes are new and the other stuff just looked like it needed another pick-me-up. Tomorrow we'll spray again with Neem oil and over the weekend with BT. Jim fed the Himalayans and maples with the organic fertilizer from Big Trees. We'll have to feed all of the fruit trees again tomorrow. We also need to sprinkle everything with diatomaceous earth soon The ants are gong a bit crazy. This whole organic pest control business is a bit hard to grasp but I figure we will learn as we go. I also hit everything in the veggie garden with a blast of water from the hose to disturb and disrupt the white flies. Unfortunately, I irritated some baby preying mantises but they seemed to bounce right back. It is so much fun watching those guys grow from such tiny creatures into the great and colorful hunters they become!
