Round Two!

We got some more rain this evening and it was beautiful... a gorgeous day all day with sun and clouds and incredible lighting (not lightening)!  We planted our new tomatoes today.  We accidentally bought two Cherokee purple so we are holding one out.  Depending on what we find down south, we may plant it or give it away.  We did plant 6 in the upper bed and 4 in the lower bed.  So far we found only one determinant.  We'll see what we find on our next outing.  I sure hope these fare well - no viruses, no pest infestations.  We will feed and tend them as best we can and hope for the best.

The new crop

It seems like the insecticidal soap we mixed up last night (of water, rubbing alcohol and soap) burned the leaves of our squash plants.  Very frustrating!  We have black speckles all over them from this spray.  This is all definitely a learning experience... and a somewhat painful one at that!
