EVEN HOTTER!

It's 9:30 PM and 89 degrees! Once again, the plants are loving it!  Today, we ran into town to get a bale of straw.  We buried the potatoes - a little more than necessary but we knew we wouldn't have much time for gardening this coming week so wanted to make sure they were in good shape.  I also deadheaded all the flowers in the veggie garden, hit everything with a blast of water this morning to deter whiteflies, and trimmed the dead and lowest leaves/branches off the tomato plants.  Things are looking much better.  We have a few blooms on the sugar snap peas, so even though we got those planted late this year, we still may get a harvest.  We have yard long red beans waiting to plant once the sugar snap peas are done.  I also need to plant another round of lettuce in another week or two.

Hoping to spray with Neem oil tomorrow.  Probably won't get to another round of BT till next weekend.
