AND MORE BUGS!

Ahh the rhubarb!  Now you see it, now you don't!  This morning we were marveling over how much better it is doing!  New growth (perhaps from being fed) and hardly any holes or bite marks (perhaps from the BT).  This evening after work we found almost an entire leaf had been devoured!   It is still better, overall than before but....  So I sprayed it with BT and we'll see if that helps!

Did I mention that the blackberries are growing, and growing??

We prepped the last bed this evening and planted the bell pepper and eggplant (one each) which we bought last weekend.  Hopefully tomorrow or Saturday we can reset the irrigation and plant some more seeds.... parsnips, bell peppers and eggplants.

We also thinned the rutabegas tonight and harvested arugula and mescalun mix as well as radishes for a salad for dinner.  YUM!  Jim thinned the beets and I cooked up the baby beets and greens and the radish greens to go with dinner- Double Yum!
This hot weather is working wonders on the chile peppers and berries and greens and grapes.  The sugar snap peas don't look too happy and the tomatoes are a little worse for wear after the initial spray which burned things....  Overall things are looking good (did I mention the corn and potatoes)??
