KALE AND CORN PESTS

Kale harvest
This evening we harvested LOTS of kale.  Both Lacinto and curly.  It looks great.  We also found an infestation of some disgusting soft beetle-type bugs all over our corn plants.  They are about a quarter inch long or slightly longer, black and soft to squish.  Hundreds of them in the crevices of the corn plants.   We blasted them with the hose, which they did not seem to like.  We will have to look these up.

Spraying the corn for bugs
Aphids?  Beetles?
