SPRAYING THE ORCHARD

Jim got busy on his day off today.  While I was working, he cleaned up all the down and broken branches from the recent storms, cut back the mint and weeds and some of the roses which were going nuts across the creek (they will come back just fine in the coming weeks).  He even cleaned up the big branches which fell in the creek.  Crazy!  The yard looks much better.  He also used his new tool, a saw with loppers on an extending arm to do some of this and to begin to cut some of the lower (ladder fuel) branches from the trees in the chicken coop area.  I think we are getting ready to build that soon!

Finally, he also sprayed the fruit trees with lime sulfur, right on schedule.

Thank you Jim!
