| Garden fresh salad (w/ store bought pizza) |
Today we harvested some beautiful arugula from the garden and some red and yellow cherry and pear tomatoes from the garage. The tomato plants we hung up to dry in the fall still have fruit ripening on them. We are almost done with these but it has been so nice to harvest tomatoes here and there through out the chilly winter months.
Harvesting arugula
It was warm and lovely again today and we have spring fever! Unfortunately we also both have a nasty cold so didn't do any gardening today. We did have lunch on the deck and go for a little walk up canyon. While sitting on the deck we noticed a hatch of some kind of little moths. I also noticed some bigger clumsy looking bugs flying around but didn't really think about it. On our walk we saw quite a few of these and, sadly, they are Japanese beetles. Those darn grubs we were squashing in the fall as we turned over our beds are hatching out into these nasty pests.

On a brighter note the daffodil shoots are growing noticeably each day and a handful of tulips have sprouted too!

| Today's harvest, some for dinner and some to share. |
